Prior to joining Smith Abbot, Mr. Kalfayan held an associate position with a New York based insurance defense firm, where he was largely responsible for making oral arguments in both civil and supreme courts across the five boroughs of New York, as well as for advocating client positions in arbitrations and during settlement negotiations.
