Prior to forming Smith Abbot, L.L.P., Mr. Smith was a partner at a large New York City law firm concentrating in mass toxic tort, product liability, professional liability and general civil litigation. He has been lead trial counsel in large consolidated trials and is currently national coordinating and trial counsel in asbestos litigation. In addition, he has represented hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice actions, as well as defendants in lead, aviation, industrial machinery, drug and other product liability cases as well as construction litigation.
